Unnecessary apostrophe’s

Ah, roadside farm stands. They have such a sweet, homespun appeal with their handpainted signs.
Or should I say, sign’s.
I always get such a chuckle out of these kinds of displays — they are often painted with such precision and care, but it’s obvious that spelling and grammar are sometimes cast aside in favor of a lovely looking presentation.
Take this sign, for example (sent to me by my dear friend Karin). It advertises the sale of huckleberries and cherries, yet unnecessary apostrophes are wedged in there between the E and S of both words.
Or maybe the sign belongs to two people named Huckleberrie and Cherrie. In that case, it makes perfect sense.

After I took the photo, I bought three tomatoe’s and two jar’s of honey, possibly from their own bee’s. They did have lots of pretty apple’s and melon’s!
Hilarious! I such when it comes to apostrophe usage, sometimes!
All these year’s I’ve been driving by that sign and never noticed…
I’m sure a little whiteout can fix the problem in a jiffy.
