Um, hi…remember me?

Wowee. Time flies when you’re not blogging.
I’ve really been missing my regular posts here on AnchorMommy and missing all of you who come here to visit me. And I thought to myself, “I should really post about why I’m not posting, so the few people who actually care will know where I’ve been.” And then I got this tweet from the lovely Abby of Diary of a New Mom:

And then I really knew that it was time to post something.
So here are my excuses.
- No synchronized nap time. Ella takes a nap in the afternoon, but sadly, Kellan’s napping days are pretty much behind him. So when one’s down, I still have the other to look after, which means I rarely get those blessed napping/blogging windows of time anymore. Boo.
- I have a job. Yeah, I’m working! It’s a part-time gig from home, which requires a lot of editing, some writing and some SEO work for a couple of websites. So when I do have a little kid-free downtime, like when they’re both in bed for the night, I have to log some work time. So again, no bloggy time for me.
So that’s what I’ve been up to. In addition to the usual cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, diaper changing, kid shuttling and volunteering whatnot I usually attend to. But I miss blogging SO much, and I’ve recently vowed to make a little more time for it again. Even if it’s just a post or two a week. So hang in there with me, will you?

Yay! So glad I inspired you to blog again. Maybe I could hire myself out as a motivational blogging coach?
I force my 4yo to spend an hour of “quiet time” in his room every day while the baby naps and I work. Even though he bangs around and always seems to time his bathroom breaks during that hour, I still get *some* uninterrupted work time. And yay for you, taking on a p.t. job! I don’t think I could have done that while still in the throes of sleep deprivation…
Yay for working! Sounds great that you’re able to do it from home, too!
And it’s nearly impossible to find time to be on the Internet and blogging when the kids are awake! I usually do all that after midnight which is why I’m SO exhausted everyday!
A little blogging is better than no blogging (says the one who has hardly done any blogging…) but your cyber friends (and real ones) understand and are patient! We just miss you. And can you blame us really? You are quite awesome! Miss you! xoxo
