Typos for winos
May 1, 2009 by Shannon
And now, another reason why the spell check function is no substitute for a good, old-fashioned proof read. Take this lovely bottle of Spanish wine, for example:

It was tough for me to rip my eyes off the mysterious horse/unicorn creature. But thank goodness I did. Otherwise the Typo Patrol would have missed this fabulous find on the back label:

Maybe the winemaker was really trying to make a point about how to pair the wine. But I’m guessing the writer didn’t really read the finished product. There’s also a word used in the wrong context.
Care to guess what’s wrong? Leave me a note in the comments! Nothing I love more than a little discussion about bad spelling.

Congrats Shannon. A fun read.
Now for the wine bottle. Yikes! I hope the wine is better than the label. Here are my observations.
…balance OF fruit
Repeat of the phrase ….”to from winter hearty stews….”
I would use the spelling “barbeque” even though barbecue is the 1st entry.
I would put a comma after consumer, but then I am always comma heavy.
Oh dear, I can’t see the spelling error. Usually those pop out at me.
Have fun and enjoy Mommyhood.
