Typo Patrol: “Perferably” is not preferable
May 21, 2010 by Shannon
I think I’m one of a few moms in the world who repeatedly reads the dosage instructions on her child’s vitamins. But when you’re seated at the kitchen table with quite possibly the World’s Slowest Three Year Old Eater, you find ways to entertain yourself. Even if it’s reading vitamin labels.
Lucky for me I did read the label because – woo hoo! – I found another typo to bore all of you with. Check it out over there on the left. Do you see it?
It says “perferably.” Oh how I love these kinds of typos. Because to me, this one came from someone who wasn’t quite sure how to spell the word, so they sounded it out and called it good. Only problem is, that person was someone who doesn’t say “preferably” correctly to begin with, so it came out on the label as “perferably.” Ha!
It’s really sick that I find this so amusing, isn’t it?
