Sweet, sweet freedom

My car, happily soaking up the light of day
My car is free. I. Am. Free.
Now if Kellan and I are free to drive to the park, the library or the grocery store! I never thought I would be so darn eager to do all those things. But I tell you what — there’s nothing like losing your freedom to make you respect it that much more.
The only thing that tempers my joy — somewhat — is thinking about the check I had to write to the repairman to gain my freedom. Oh well. I really had no choice.
I would write more, but I gotta hit the road! Just because I can.
Oh, and a note to my neighbors: if you see the garage door opening and closing repeatedly later today, don’t worry. It’s not a short circuit or anything. It’ll just be me, gleefully pressing the garage door opener! Wheeeee! Open, close! Open, close! Open, close! It works! It really, really works!!!
