Summer sickness sucks

July 7, 2009 by Shannon

My chest is so full of ick that when I cough, my lungs seriously consider making a run for it and nearly come up out of my throat.

The ick in my lungs has also migrated to my left ear, and I can’t hear a thing. So you could probably sneak up on me and give me a really good scare, if you wanted to. Just be warned that your ear may end up hurting too, because I would probably wallop you on the side of the head.

My head is throbbing and foggy. I’m not sure if the words I say are actually coming out of my mouth, or if they’re just rattling around inside my muddled head.

Um, hello? Germs? In case you haven’t looked outside lately, it is SUMMER. Your visit is just a leeeetle bit inconvenient for me. In fact, I think you’re breaking a law of nature by showing up right now. And I’m not above calling the authorities.

So sorry you’re battling this cold! Sucks to be sick, especially in the summer! My son has a bit of a cold right now… just the sniffles, but still - bad timing!

Oh no…..and you have company coming. Maybe you should go to the Dr. You can get an antibiotic for your ear. You might have an ear infection.

Hope this passes quickly. Try some tea with honey - maybe that will help?!?!?
