Remembering Great Grandpa Bruce
October 18, 2009 by Shannon

This weekend, our family lost our dear Great Grandpa Bruce.
Bruce was an amazing man. But the word amazing doesn’t even do him justice. An entire wall in his home is covered with awards he won from competing in skiing and race walking — honors he was still winning well into his early 90’s. And if a new visitor tried to leave the house without seeing the wall? Well, quite frankly, that was unheard of. No one got out of the Groves home without a tour of those gleaming medals and trophies.
But after 97 years, he was ready to cross that final finish line.
Thank you Bruce, for all the love and laughter you’ve given us. We love you.
