Oregon Coast: Vacation Heaven
September 21, 2009 by Shannon
We are back. It’s good to be home, but I did NOT want to leave the Oregon Coast. It was, in a word, HEAVEN. We had such a good time making sandcastles, going on hikes through the forest and just enjoying time together as a family. In fact, it was our first true vacation as a family of three. Yachats, Oregon was a perfect location because there was plenty for all of us to do, yet we were all able to take some much-needed R and R. It was one of those vacations where the little moments become the memories you cherish forever.
Take this picture, for example. Kellan got chilly as we played on the beach, so I wrapped him up in Michael’s fleece jacket. It provided the perfect cuddling opportunity, sans whining and squirming. Ahh…how I love a good toddler cuddle. A simple moment, but one I will cherish.
My thanks to everyone for helping make last week’s Fall Recipe Series a success! (Scroll down to the bottom of this link for a roundup of all the recipes.) I’ve got lots of cool stuff to tell you about this week, including a new recipe and good travel tips for toddlers, so stay tuned…
