Oops! It’s another typo!
August 14, 2009 by Shannon
This is another case of an unnecessary apostrophe.
My thanks go out to AnchorMommy reader Sandy Larsen for this one. Sandy found the error while reading the online user’s manual for her new Samsung Impression cell phone. (I have to hand it to you, Sandy — you actually read the manual. Online, no less.)

All right then class, did you see it?
Let’s go over the proper use of it’s, shall we? It’s is a conjunction for it is. So breaking down the conjunction above would leave the sentence as follows:
“The following table contains a description of each available Widget, it is function, and how to navigate…”
Sounds silly, doesn’t it?
The confusion over its and it’s is rampant in today’s society. Let’s all do our part to end this widespread grammatical error, shall we? Now, go forth and use your it’s as they were truly intended — as conjunctions!

I love these. I know I’m not the best speller/grammartist (I just made that word up) but it’s always fun to see.
You would totally get along with my mom. I have many vivid of her complaining about misspellings growing up.
Like one time, we were eating at the old Bonanza on State Street. We were watching some minimum wage flunky try to change the reader board outside. Well, he was attempting to put up “tomarow” but the letters kept falling off the suction pole. Mom said it must have been God trying to tell him he was spelling it wrong.
Good times.
Ha! That’s hilarious. Yep, your mom and I are kindred souls.
Except where the It in question is cousin It and we are talking about It’s Long hair. Bwahahahah
I was’nt sure I would like this site since it was about Oops! It’s another typo! | AnchorMommy but I was wrong and thought it was cool and found it on Google . Thanks and I’ll be back as you update.
