My baby girl is one!!!

Today, my sweet girl is one year old.

I can’t believe we can be at this milestone already, yet here it is. August 3. Maybe the time has flown by because I’m a little more experienced at this mom thing, or maybe it’s because I have to keep up with Ella and her big brother, or maybe it’s just because this is what time does when you’re a parent of young children. I’m not sure why it slips through your fingers like sand, but it does. The best we can do is try to hold on and savor each little moment.

My dear Ella Bean, you have changed my life in ways I could not have imagined. Because of you, my heart has grown bigger, and it nearly bursts with joy when I see you smile or hear you giggle. I know your brother feels the same way, because he seems to have made it his mission in life to make you laugh. You are a precious gift to our family. Thank you for all the happiness and laughter you bring to our lives.

We love you dearly and can’t wait to see the fun and adventures you’ll experience in the year ahead.
