Marking a milestone
August 19, 2009 by Shannon
This week, I am celebrating the smartest decision I have ever made — the decision to marry the man I now call my husband.
Michael is — and has always been — a true friend and partner. Our road together has taken a lot of twists and turns, but I have always felt it is the the path I am meant to take. And we’ve had a lot of fun along the way.
I just have to say that if it weren’t for him, AnchorMommy would not exist. No question. He could have easily encouraged me to stay in the workforce, but he believed in me and helped me realize that I needed to follow my heart. And he hasn’t looked back.
So on this anniversary, I raise my glass to my husband in thanks for giving me all the encouragement, love and support a wife could ever dream of. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

I knew it too. I think before you did. I remember a few discussions we had when you were a senior in college and you made the right choice!
Perfect picture.
Oh, that’s so sweet. And to think . . . I knew you both back when . . .
This is a lovely post! You two are a great couple and I’m very happy for you both! Your wedding was a great night…but I’m a little biased because that was the night Matt and I really hit it off! By the time you all were back from your honeymoon…we were dating!
That is so nice of you, Shannon. Sounds like you and your husband have a lovely relationship.
