Let the Christmas craziness begin
December 21, 2009 by Shannon
Well, here we go. Just a few more days until Christmas. I have a few more things to wrap, some Santa gifts to assemble, a Christmas party to attend and some housecleaning/grocery shopping/cooking/baking to do. Easy, right? Honestly, I need a nap just thinking about all of it.
So I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very happy holiday. I think I’m going to have to put every spare minute I get into all this Christmas prep stuff, so you may not hear from me much this week.
However, I am happy to report that we successfully tracked down Santa over the weekend! Kellan was so excited to see the big guy that I kinda wondered if he might freeze up at the last second simply due to nerves. No chance of that. Kellan was positively giddy when he spotted Santa in his great big armchair, and ran right up to him. They had a lovely talk about drumsets, stuffed animals and the proper way to construct a snowman. (Kellan matter-of-factly explained that first, a big snowball is needed for the bottom, then a “medium one on top of that and then a small one.” There. Now Santa knows all he needs to know about snowman making.)
Anyway, back to the holiday wishes…I hope that your shopping is done, your presents are wrapped and your feet are up. If that’s not the case, well….it’ll all be over soon anyway.
Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas!!!

I am so glad Kellan got to see Santa! And I’m very happy to now know how to properly build a snowman. Hopefully I’ll find enough snow this Christmas to make one. I hope you get all your holiday stuff done AND have time to relax and enjoy it as well! I almost called you last night to chat but thought it might be too late. If you have time for a chat, great, give me a call! If not, no worries because I’ll catch you next week for BIRTHDAY WEEK!!!!
I felt like Santa was stalking us this year. We had two “breakfasts with Santa” one weekend and then we ran into him at the library last week! Good grief! You’d think toy making would keep him pretty busy, but apparently he likes Sedona as much as the other tourists.
