It’s Friday! My top 10 of the week
April 9, 2010 by Shannon
So in spite of the chaos of this past week, some pretty cool stuff has happened. Humor me, won’t you, as I present you with a Top Ten list of sorts:
- I met a guy named Buster Dancer. How cool is that?
- Buster Dancer is a fan of the Boise State Broncos, but his daughter is dating a University of Idaho Vandal. Even cooler.
- I did a little voiceover work for a local ad campaign this week. I LOVE voiceover gigs.
- I finally got a chance to talk on the phone with two of my favorite friends. I didn’t get to talk to them for long, but some phone chat is better than nothing.
- My cat puked on my nicest rug. This is not really a good thing, but I’m trying to look at the bright side in that her puke was the same color as the rug.
- I donated a bunch of stuff to charity. This makes me happy because now I won’t have to pack and move any of it.
- The ball is rolling on my in-laws’ move, which paves the way for our move into their house. Remember, the baby clock is ticking here, so the fewer delays the better…
- We’re getting a new fence. This would be a necessity even if we didn’t move, because it’s about 30 years old and falling apart. The best part? We have agreement and cost-sharing among FOUR other families. Mad props go to my husband for helping to broker this arrangement.
- I am suffering from fewer panic attacks regarding our imminent move.
- And finally…Kellan wrote his name.
Seriously! I watched him say each letter and write it down, and it actually kind of looks like a real word! The K and the E kinda share a line, but I think you can definitely see two letters there. I was so proud, I snatched the paper from Kellan in spite of his protests, so I could save it forever. Then Michael used it as scratch paper. Urgh. Thank goodness he didn’t write over the letters.
So there are the highlights of this very nutty week, which was packed with all kinds of house-related appointments, phone calls and emails. I’m grateful there were so many good things in spite of the madness. Next week? Bring it on.
