Getting back to work

February 1, 2010 by Shannon

I’ve really settled into a groove with this stay-at-home mom thing. I’m no Supermom, but I think I’m doing a pretty okay job. So what do I go and add to my plate, while I’m pregnant, no less? A JOB.

Yep. I start tomorrow. But it’s only part-time, and I’ll only be employed for about a month. So it’s not like I’ll be slaving away or anything. I’m sure I’ll be very tired at the end of the month, but I can do this.

What’s the job, you ask? My old one. Yeah, that one. The one I left about eight months ago. It’ll be fun to be back for a while! Of course that means some of my prime blogwriting time — from 8:30 to 10:30 pm — will be spent at work. So you may not hear from me on a regular basis, but I’ll be around.

I guess it’s time to be a nightowl again. Wish me luck.

Yahoo!!! We’ll be rooting for you. I’m sure it will be a piece of cake, and will likely be a welcome little retreat.

Enjoy that HOUR to yourself. Ahhhhhhh…..

Wow! They won’t need to use much lighting because you are no doubt *glowing* because of your pregnancy!

How fun that you get to go back for a while before baby number 2 is born!

Good luck! I was wondering what I missed when you said you were wearing a skirt while cooking dinner! It’s great that you do the type of work you can dip in & out of. That way, you get the best of both worlds & it’s not like you’re disappearing for years while you raise your kids. I know you’ll manage the great juggling act as well as the rest of us!
