I’m a member of the Forthose Sisterhood
June 30, 2009 by Shannon
I never knew that joining a sorority in college meant that I could assume the description of “forthose” later in life.
A few months ago, I joined my sorority’s Facebook group and found this description on the home page:
“Forthose affiliated with the Beta Kappa Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma…”
Did I miss the memo about becoming a forthose to be a part of the Kappa membership? I got such a kick out of the missing space between the words “for” and “those” that I made the following witty comment on the group wall:
I spent the rest of the evening giggling and snickering to myself about how funny I am. I thought, surely my intelligent and knowledgeable Kappa sisters will have a chuckle too, and the group administrator will correct the typo.
No one responded. And the typo is still there.
Hmm. I guess that means I can still claim membership in the Forthose Sisterhood.

Hi Shannon -
I saw it, but wasn’t sure what it meant…thought it was some term that came up at the house after I left in 94!
Too funny…congrats on the successful blog!

Haha! I too was wondering what the heck you meant!
