For the love of tape

May 16, 2011 by Shannon

Tape TriceratopsTape is such a useful product. It closes things, attaches things, and even helps you make a straight line while painting.

It is also addictive.

When Santa gave Kellan regular old transparent tape as part of his art supply kit at Christmas, he created a monster. This kid adores the stuff. Masking tape, double-sided tape…you name it. He tapes things on his walls, tapes together bits of paper, and even constructs elaborate taped costumes for himself. I promise you that the photo at left was not my attempt to tape his mouth shut (although at the rate Kellan talks sometimes, I admit that doing so has crossed my mind once or twice), but was his version of a triceratops costume. Yes, the three-horned dinosaur. Why the tape connects his nose to his forehead, I’m not sure.

All I know is, I can never find my tape when I need it. And wish Santa would have bought us some stock in Scotch Tape while he was at it.

Tell Kellan he’s way too young to need a homemade facelift. :)

BTW, I just rescued your comments from my spam folder, where they had mistakenly been sent. So sorry! Thanks for the comments and compliments on my new blog. Still figuring out Wordpress, obviously…
