My mom is convinced that Sesame Street is one of the main reasons I learned to read by age four. But judging by what I found on a Sesame Street product recently, they’ve slacked off big time in the past 30 or so years.

I spotted a couple of typos during my Internet wanderings over the past couple of days, and got so excited to share them! (I am such a spelling nerd. I know.) Then I noticed big ol’ copyright notices near the errors. I don’t want to get myself sued, so you’ll have to take my word that these typos do exist.

Boy, do I love funny typos. But this one is truly heinous.
Had I read this script on air, it would have caused me massive embarrassment. The kind of embarrassment that lands you on YouTube for millions of people to laugh at.

I can’t believe this myself — but I have saved a chopstick wrapper for about 7 or 8 years now.
Why? Because it is a typo lover’s dream come true. This thing is hilarious. It is littered with ridiculous mistakes.

I mentioned the thing I have for magazines, right? Well, here’s what I love even more: finding a glaring typographical error on the page of a magazine. Publications which I’m sure have gobs of editors to catch such mistakes.
