Attention Sesame Street: learn to spell
July 10, 2009 by Shannon

My mom is convinced that Sesame Street is one of the main reasons I learned to read by age four. But judging by what I found on a Sesame Street product recently, they’ve slacked off big time in the past 30 or so years.
This is what I found on the box of a Sesame Street toy I bought as a gift for my twin nephews.
Do you see it?
Congnitive development. On the package of a Sesame Street toy! The same people who are teaching ABC’s to children around the world are putting out toys with misspellings like congnitive on the package.
If only I could read French. I wonder if there’s a good typo hiding in the French labeling too.

It took me three readings to catch it. I have obviously been cleaning carpets to long today.
