Did I ever tell you that I used to be a knitting fanatic? Oh, I was a knitting fiend. I picked it up around the same time one of my best friends and fellow co-workers was learning to knit, and we used to spend all our dinner breaks watching American Idol and knitting our little fingers off.

Working in a newsroom/TV studio until 10 pm for eight years has left quite an impression on my body clock. In fact, I can’t seem to reset the damn thing for the life of me.
It has occurred to me that most people are able to get out the door by 8 am, when I can barely get out of bed. I don’t like this. I want to become more normal. You know, just so if Kellan and I need to be somewhere by 9 am, I can actually pull it off.

Now if Kellan and I are free to drive to the park, the library or the grocery store! I never thought I would be so darn eager to do all those things. But I tell you what — there’s nothing like losing your freedom to make you respect it that much more.

My garage is holding me hostage. More specifically, my car is stuck inside my garage. Apparently a giant spring that has something important to do with holding the weight of the garage door is completely broken. Why it decided to do so on a day when I really needed a change of scenery is beyond me.
Seriously — how can metal just randomly break like that?
