Kellan was a monkey for his very first Halloween. In 2008, he was a chicken. Both costumes were selected by yours truly. This year, Kellan has been very clear about what HE wants to be: an acrobat.

Where does the time go? I can’t believe fall is officially here. Leaves are starting to pile up everywhere and it’s definitely time to put away the flip flops.
I think I’m finding the season change a little more shocking this year because it reminds me I have been out of the news business for nearly six months. Nearly SIX MONTHS.

I think that Shannon, circa 2004, would be a little surprised by what has transpired in the past couple years. And in some cases, shocked. For those of you who have inquired, we’re doing okay in light of the passing of Great Grandpa Bruce. There is a lot to be done yet, but much of it is on hold at the moment due to my mother-in-law’s terrible cold. Getting her back on the path to health is priority number one.
So by and large, we’re operating on a business-as-usual basis…

This Ghostly Ghoul Wreath is a quick, cheap and easy Halloween craft that you can make with the kids in under a half an hour, using items you probably already have around the house! These little ghosts are cute, quirky, and the more imperfect they are, the better.

I frequently hear this type of thing whenever Kellan and I are out, and I often want to respond — you have no idea. My boy talks constantly.
